Radio and multimedia career

Houston began his career in the media industry as an intern for Dallas hip-hop station 97.9 The Beat in 2012, early on collaborating on-site with hip-hop artist Juvenile. He transitioned into a formal staff role at the station in 2014, working as a Promotions Assistant. In February 2015, he made a cameo appearance in the music video for "Beat Up the Block" by Dorrough featuring Lil Boosie, a production that subsequently amassed millions of views on YouTube. Later that year, in July 2015, he collaborated on-site with DJ Khaled at 97.9 The Beat while continuing his work in the promotions department.

In April 2017, Houston was hired as Online Editor for Urban One (formerly Radio One) in Dallas, managing digital media for both the hip-hop station 97.9 The Beat and the classic hip-hop station Boom 94.5 (which rebranded to the Urban AC format as MAJIC 94.5 in September 2017).

During his tenure, he built an extensive on-site portfolio of celebrity interviews, original photography, and video coverage featuring a broad spectrum of national music, comedy, and entertainment figures, including:

In 2018, Houston expanded the station's online presence by creating 97.9 The Beat Magazine. The publication highlighted the regional music landscape, featuring exclusive Q&A interviews with prominent local Dallas artists including Lil Ronny MothaF, Yella Beezy, Trapboy Freddy, C-Struggs, Boogotti Kasino, MO3, Dorrough Music, Mikey McFly, and Flexinfab.

In addition to the magazine, Houston conducted Q&A interviews for the station's website featuring music production professionals, including Shun On Da Beat (the producer behind Yella Beezy's hit single "That's On Me") and audio engineer Brad Horne (known professionally as Dirt) regarding his work on T.I.'s 2008 single "Whatever You Like."

Houston resigned from his editorial position in March 2019. He returned to Urban One three months later, serving as a Sales Assistant from June 2019 until his departure in May 2024.

Personal life and business ventures

An early freelance writer, Houston authored an article regarding youth summer employment initiatives that was published by the St. Louis Beacon in May 2009.

He is a Christian, having been baptized in September 2009. Houston has one son. He married Cassiopea Williams on April 16, 2014.

On April 4, 2021, he published his faith-based book, A New Creature in Christ: I'm Not Who I Once Was, via Amazon.

After executing a dedicated personal financial strategy, Houston and his wife officially became debt-free in November 2023. Continuing their wealth-building framework, the couple achieved the milestone of saving their first $100,000 in 2026. These personal financial achievements served as the operational foundation for Bankroll Freedom, LLC, an online personal finance platform and instructional brand Houston established in 2026 to assist individuals with debt reduction, income optimization, and long-term savings.

On May 17, 2026, the company expanded its corporate footprint by filing a federal trademark application (Serial No. 99828276) with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to protect the brand's proprietary educational course materials and personal finance publications.
